Bijilo Forest Park. Bijilo Forest park is nearby. It is a small but very beautiful forest where you can see green vervet monkeys and red colobus monkeys, all kinds of birds and beautiful big trees. It is one of few remaining dense forests. You do not need a separate guide here, so entrance to the park is included in the tour where I will be.

We went to Bijilo Forest Park during August 2019 - low season. Out of all the attractions at The Gambia (not many). this is one of the main ones. It is located in the main highway, besides Senegambia (close to the International Conference Center being built by ChinaAid). As always, you will be approached by all kind of sellers.

Get close up with semi wild monkeys. Review of Bijilo Forest Park. Reviewed June 23, 2023 via mobile. Low season, we arrived around 9.30, and we're the first ones there. 150 (€2.30) entrance fee. There were a lot of new infant monkeys, so the park manager recommended a guide. High season price 1500 Low season 850, which is what we agreed.
